So it's Wednesday, it's your hump day, obviously, the time to indulge in a little bit of takeaways is Friday BUT to be honest you CBF cooking tonight. Well before you make a decision, maybe this might sway your decision on where you'd like to grab a feed.
The NZ Herald did some research and found where New Zealand's favorite fish and chip shops are and as a result, by way of the people (as it should be) it has also been revealed, New Zealand's capital of fish and chips.
Fish and chips has long been an institution during Kiwi feeding time since the dawn of time (allegedly), there's almost nothing better than a good battered fish and some golden chips to move the summer on its way so let's help our fellow Kiwis out with some ideal locations the fry and eat!
As selected by the people New Zealand's fave fish and shops are, in no particular order:
- Green Jade, Avondale, Auckland.
- London Street Fish Shop, Gisborne.
- Kaiaua Fisheries, Whakatiwai.
- Tony's Takeaways, West Harbour, Auckland.
So with 3 out of the 4 top fish and chips coming out of the city of sails, your fish and chip capital of New Zealand is Auckland. No doubt things may appear differently for other Kiwis!
