The Māori influence in the Philadelphia Eagles win at the 2018 Super Bowl

It's common knowledge that the Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events that the world ever sees.

The grand finale of American football holds the record for the most-watched broadcast in America.

But something you may not have known when the Philadelphia Eagles took on the New England Patriots, was that a Māori player is right in the thick of it.

The 145kg beaaaaast was drafted by the Eagles two years ago, last year he played seven games but has been a trademark player for the Eagles run to the Bowl.

Ya boy has a preeeeeeety important role, he's the offensive linesman... meaning his main job is to protect the quaterback. Geeez no pressure!

Up until Monday the Eagles had never won the Super Bowl! This Māori boy just helped make history.
