Thankyou 2016 Part one

December 31st is here and that means one thing! One more day of 2016, so whilst some are already looking forward to the new year, Flava is here to look back at what we had and are thankful for.

JANUARY

2016 became a big year for memes and January kicked that all off, but one meme that stood out from the rest were 'Be like Bill memes' and much like a good hangover, they didn't last the distance in 2016, but we are ever thankful they came into our lives!

FEBRUARY

February blessed us with two golden nuggets, literally, to some extent. The world had been waiting for Leonardo Di Caprio to claim what was rightfully his for so many years, AN OSCAR! After unforgettable performances in The Wolf of Wall Street  and Inception Leo was snubbed. Roll in 2016 and the Oscar gods could not look past his surreal acting in The Revenant. Leo got his Oscar and the world got their hero, win win!

But February also gave us one more piece of history, it's not hard to forget, check it out below

MARCH

Some are thankful for this, others are cursed by it, but make no mistake, this will go down as THE thing of 2016! Ladies and gentlemen, THE DAB.

APRIL

If we knew what the key to becoming viral is, then everyone would be a viral hit, unfortunately we don't. What ever the recipe is, The Running man got it right! What started as a college dance escalated (real quick) to a global phenomenon!

MAY

This lady took May by the horns, or should we say force? Candace Payne laughed her way into our hearts when she lost the plot with her Chewbacca mask that came with sound effects and the best laughing experience of the month.

JUNE

Harambe and Stranger Things rounds out part 1 of what we are thankful for in 2016. There's worse things that could have happened to the USA (like Donald Trump becoming president maybe?) but apparently Americans did not take the loss of Cincinnati Zoo patron Harambe too well. It did give us plenty to talk about though, and for that we thank you.
