Check out these stunning photograph by Niketa Mercedes a Kiwi photographer showing a Collection of Maori Mythologies.
Niketa has been working hard for the last 6 months "on Te Ao Marama: A Collection of Maori Mythologies." and included this blurb about her piece: "I have studied our beautiful Atua’s using a range of mythologies renditions from a number of different iwi and sought to bring them back to life. Originally the purpose of my mahi was to be used as an educational tool for our Tamariki, giving them a contemporary image to go alongside these treasured mythologies. All in all, I really just wanted to share it with the wider whanau and give back to the Maori Community."
