Janet Jackson, Eminem, N.W.A. & Others Join 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Nominees

 Janet Jackson, Eminem, and N.W.A. are among the nominees for the 2025 induction class of the Songwriters Hall of Fame

The nominees were announced on last Tuesday, with a total of 26 artists vying for induction
Only three songwriters and three performing songwriters will be inducted
The majority of the nominees are solo artists, but there are also five groups in the running, including The Doobie Brothers and NWA
Other notable nominees in the performing songwriter's category include Sheryl Crow, George Clinton, and Alanis Morissette
In the non-performing songwriter category, the nominees include Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Walter Afanasieff, and Franne Golde
All of the nominees are eligible for induction 20 years after the release of their first commercial hit
The inductees will be honoured at the 2025 Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Gala on June 12 in New York City
