If you're heading to a festival for New Years, we've got some good news

Most of us head to some sort of festival for New Years, and it looks like the weather is turning around just in time!

The weather reports haven't been looking the best for ringing in 2019, but it looks as though sunshine is on its way for most of the country.

Whangarei 26°- Kick off 2019 the right way with the sun shining

Auckland 25°- Leaving Auckland won't be so bad with the sun out 

Tauranga 26°- The sun will be out, just hidden behind a bit of cloud

Hamilton 25° - Again, no rain, just a bit of cloud mixed in with the sun

Hawkes Bay 28° - Hawkes Bay is set to be the warmest and sunniest place to be for NYE

Wellington 23° - Typical Welly weather, cloudy with a bit of sun

Nelson: 25°- The sun will be out, so pack ya sunnies

Christchurch 24°- Chch is going to be sunny but with a bit of cloud around

Queenstown 26° - It'll be hot but with a lot of rain, so pack a jacket

Dunedin 19° - A little colder here, with rain
