Everything you need to know ahead of Waitangi @ Waititi

Waitangi at Waititi goes down tomorrow down at Hoani Waititi Marae. The event will have some of the hottest home grown artists performing on the day like Stan Walker, 1814 and Sammy J, House of Shem supported by international artists Blackslate & Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project. PLUS Smashproof, House of Shem and plenty more have been added to the line-up!

Q: When is Waitangi at Waititi?
A: 6th of February 2019 Waitangi Day
Q: Where is Waitangi at Waititi?
A: Hoani Waititi Marae 451 W Coast Rd, Oratia, Auckland 0602
Q: Is it free?
A: Yes, this is a free event
Q: What time does it start and finish?
A: 8 am Powhiri
Artists will perform from 9AM until 5:30PM
Q: Will there be parking?
A: There is limited free side of road parking, first in first served. There is paid parking for $5.00 cash only entry through West Coast Road entrance
Q: Will there be free shuttles?
A: Yes - check out the AT website here for more information
Q: Will there be more food stalls this year?
A: Yes we have many more food stalls
Q: Is it cash only?
A: Some vendors have eftpos however most do not, please bring cash
Q: Will there be free water?
A: Yes we will have a water truck on site to refill your bottles, please bring a bottle or purchase a Waitangi at Waititi bottle on the day. No plastic disposable cups please.
Q: Can we bring umbrellas and gazebos?
A: Yes you can bring umbrellas, No you cannot bring gazebos. Please show courtesy with your umbrellas especially in crowd areas near the stage.
Q: Can we bring our kuri? (dog)
A: The park is not roam free on this day
Q: What time are the artists on?
A: The artists will be on from 9am- approx. 5.30pm performance times are tentative and will not be released.
Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: This is strictly a family friends Alcohol and other drug free event. It is also Auahi kore (smoke free)
Q: Can we bring a picnic or our own kai?
A: Yes but please try to minimise waste and take your rubbish with you. This is a Para Kore event.
Q:Can we bring a chilly bin?
A: Yes you may (but don't try hide alcohol in there)
Q: Have you changed the venue layout this year?
A: Yes we have moved the stage to allow for a bigger audience space in Parrs Meadow
