Pete Davidson speaks out about his split with Ariana Grande

Pete Davidson has spoken out on US TV show Saturday Night Live about why his relationship with Ariana Grande ended. 

He definitely sneaks it in there, only lightly touching on the subject amongst talking about the US mid-term elections. 

It came just hours after Ariana Grande released her new song, "Thank U, Next" which made reference to her relationship with Pete Davidson.

In the piece which aired on Sunday, New Zealand time, he said that "I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is that it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out and that's OK," he said. "She's a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world."
