Ariana Grande pays tribute to Mac Miller on his birthday then backtracks

Ariana Grande has paid tribute to Mac Miller on his 27th birthday but has seemingly backtracked on the tribute after deleting the social media post. 

On a post on Twitter, which has since been deleted, she wrote a simple message to wish him a happy birthday, simply saying "miss u".

It comes after her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller passed away in September last year at the age of 26 after suffering an accidental overdose. 

There isn't much indication as to why Ariana chose to delete the post. 

Ariana Grande released her new since '7 rings' on Friday. The song, however, has had a bit of a backlash, with many artists such as Soulja Boy expressing anger at the similarity of her song to others.
