Air New Zealand has suggested Qantas paint its planes black if the All Blacks win the Rugby World Cup against Australia this weekend.
The two airlines have taken to Twitter to suggest a friendly wager over the final.
Using the hashtag #AirlineWager, Air New Zealand today tweeted a picture of a Qantas plane in New Zealand colours with an All Blacks logo and other slogans.
.@Qantas So we’ve been thinking about this wager. How about you paint your planes like this? #AirlineWager #NZLvAUS pic.twitter.com/46HhWkVyi7

Qantas responded with a picture of an Air New Zealand plane painted gold with Wallabies branding.
Air New Zealand dismissed the suggestion on Twitter saying it wouldn't want to slow its planes down.
.@FlyAirNZ While black is slimming, we think it needs a golden touch. Something like this... #AirlineWager #NZLvAUS pic.twitter.com/FxADqwUsdJ

Qantas then said it didn't think Air New Zealand would be in a hurry to get to its country after New Zealand lost.
One Twitter user has suggested the Wallabies should do Air New Zealand's next safety video if they win the World Cup.
Another suggested Qantas staff wear Air New Zealand clothing for a week if the All Blacks win.
The world cup Twitter banter between the airlines began last week, with Air New Zealand suggesting Qantas should be nervous if they had to face the All Blacks in the final.
