A second season of Married at First Sight New Zealand is all go - but a former contestant has warned it's "not for everyone".
Producers have issued a casting call for the season, looking for willing participants who will meet their spouse for the first time on their wedding day.
"Are you single and looking for love? Tired of swiping left? Ready to settle down?" says the entry form on Three's website.
"We are looking for men and women who are genuinely ready to commit to love. This ground-breaking social experiment will help New Zealand singles find the partner of their dreams, using the science of matchmaking.
"There's just one catch … you'll meet for the first time on your wedding day."
Married at First Sight has been a scandal-fuelled hit overseas, with the current season of the Australian version airing four nights a week here.
In the first season of the New Zealand version, the only couple to last the distance were Brett and Angel Renall.
In an Instagram post, Angel said anyone thinking of applying should give it a go, saying she'd had "the best months of my life".
But she warned: "It's defs not for everyone."
"If you asked me this time last year what I would be doing right now and I said living down South, married with an A class husband and a pooch I'd tell you, you were nuts. My friends would all agree," she wrote.
"I remember sending away my app video and then deleting it straight away. I'd never spoken about wanting love before to anyone. Ever. Ever. This would be making myself so super vulnerable but for some reason, I just thought, why bloody not! As my application progressed it went from slow to quick real soon and on the 17th of August 2017 I was walking down the aisle to a rare specimen of Southern-Sign-Writing-Cheshire-Cat.
"It's been 10 months since I applied for MAFS and now I've been married for nearly 6. I'm trying to not be too cringe but it has been the best months of my life."
